Notes from Heather
===================

Dear Readers --

I apologize for the lapse in issues the past few weeks!  On the bright side
I was able to get away for some rest and relaxation and I've come back refreshed
and ready to face the world again. :-)

In a few days Carman (my almost 18-year-old son) and I will be heading out for
2 more homeschool conventions.  Look for us in Des Moines, Iowa on June 18 & 19
-- and then we'll be heading to Akron, Ohio for the June 24-26 convention.

As usual, we will be giving away several hundred CD sets of our Sugar Creek Gang
audio series!  If you can't attend a convention, but you would like a 2-CD set,
just send $2 to cover postage to:  Beloved Books, PO Box 878, Fenton, MI  48430.

Affordable Cap and Gown Source for Kids' Graduations!

---

The business I ordered my daughter's kindergarten cap and gown from was
AMAZING and fairly inexpensive for the quality.  I ordered the basic package
which includes cap, gown, tassle and diploma for about $16 in your choice of colors.

Hands-On Crafts for Kids -- http://craftsforkids.com/projects.htm

Summertime is a great time to get a little messy and creative with your kids!
This publisher of popular craft books for kids offers several projects from
their books each month for free.  There is quite a lengthy list, so lots to
choose from!

I actually found this site from another neat craft-for-kids site:
http://ivyjoy.com/rayne/craftsforkids.html

So now you have two sites to explore!  Having just graduated my oldest son, I
can definitely encourage you to enjoy the time you have to play with your kids
when they are young -- they grow up way too fast :-)

Answer our NEW Question
=========================

Still seeking answers for the question for our High School Edition on Thursday!

---

"I am looking for a high school curriculum.  I have been loosely using The Well-Trained
Mind since first grade with my daughter. She is 14 years old now. We are looking for
a low key curriculum that will cover everything that she would need to meet High School
credits." -- Debbie

---

Remember -- there are no right or wrong answers.  The more readers who share
their thoughts with Debbie, the better decision she can make!  :-)
